River West Pile Turning at Auer and Dousman
Free donuts and cider to anyone willing to help turn compost this Saturday at the Friends Community Garden. Winter composting is a lonely affair. Come out and join the fun. It’s supposed to be sunny and mild. Bring work gloves!
Compost Turning and Education at Booth & Chambers
Just a reminder that we are rounding out our November turning schedule this Saturday at the Booth & Chambers Community Garden at Booth and Chambers in River West at 12:00 p.m. Come join us to learn about winterizing a compost pile, achieving and maintaining pile heat in a Wisconsin winter, and other sundry matters of casual conversation. Dress warmly and bring work gloves.
River West Compost Turning and Education Event
Our next public turning and educational event will be Nov. 1 at Auer and Dousman in River West. Free refreshments, good conversation, and compost! Bring a bucket if you want some fresh compost to tuck your garden to bed. Saturday, November 1, 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Bring work gloves. We’ll be getting things ready for winter, moving compost, and learning about pile maintenance and troubleshooting.
Bay View Bash – Help Us Make It Sustainable
Interested in helping us compost the Bay View Bash? We’re collecting compostables, tracking trash and recycling, and helping event organizers achieve as close to zero waste as possible.
